WOWOWOWOWOW. blew threw this in a matter of hours. can’t comprehend how perfectly so many of my own feelings and fears about writing and love and friendship were captured in these pages. nathan and katrina now own a piece of my heart forever <333
emotional hopeful fast-paced

This had the potential to be four stars, but the last 50 pages ruined it. So much unnecessary conflict that should've been resolved earlier. It felt like it was just thrown in to create drama at the end, which it didn't need.

This book was great! A very nice and light beach read. Is it as good as the books it is compared to? No, but still an enjoyable read with a very root-able couple!

Just finished reading this book for the second time, and I have to say it’s definitely one of my favorite romance books. I love books like this where the characters are writers and you get to see them write a book. I thought the writing was great, and I loved the use of the flashback scenes.

1.5/5 for smut
4.5/5 for slow burn!!

4 1/2* really loved this book. Definitely packed more of an emotional punch than a typical romance novel.

Ended up liking this book much more than I thought I would when I started it. The pace really picked up, and I found the flashbacks to be well timed. I was so glad to see Katrina’s strength continue to grow as I got further into the book. I was rooting for her the entire time.

The tension was real - you could feel it between Katrina and Nathan on each page. Also, loved Harriet’s one liners - they were such zingers.

The only reason this is 4 out of 5 stars is the pace at the beginning. It didn’t immediately suck me in, but once I hit chapter 11 (the chapters are very short), I was off to the races.

Why on earth are the ratings so low??? This book is freaking amazing and deserves all the love???

Angsty romance. Friends to enemies to lovers. Meta as fuck. J'adore!

It was too long. All the flashbacks could probably have been removed with no issues to the story. It just came across as self-indulgent.

I liked the parts about them being co-writers and their craft, but ultimately I didn't like or connect to the main characters.
