From the second I started this one I knew I was going to love it!!! Ugh! If you like Emily Henry check this one out! It’s written by a husband wife combo and it was just gorgeous! I’ll be thinking about this one for a while!
Is it because it doesn't feel like Christmas yet that I'm just not loving the books I'm reading? Is it me? Or is it the books?
I didn't NOT like this one, I just expected to REALLY like it, and I didn't. It felt like the plot setup didn't work--a lot of the dual timeline pieces seemed unnecessary even though I understood the intent. There was also one weird plot hole that just seemed weird...
I LOVE books about books. I've always wanted to write a rom-com (someday maybe right?), so I thought I would eat this up. I mean, moving to a beach house to be "confined" there writing? C'MON! But it just didn't pull me in like I hoped it would. Bummer. Anyway, I still recommend as a rom-com, but it isn't my fave one ever, and that's ok!

3.5 ⭐️
slow burn but in a good way but also like so predictable. the love letters to each other through their co-authored book did really do it for me though

Really 3.5/5. It was good, but predictable. The side characters of Chris and Harriet were more intriguing at some points. Our MCs were kinda stereotypical.

Didn’t love this book. It was like 312 pages long and it didn’t start getting good until page 212. 211 pages of the main characters jumping around why they split up the writing team and then finally we get 100 pages of real substance. Was well written but I wish more happens in those first 211 pages.

I enjoy the premise, however the tension is between the two main character is too overdrawn - you can tell these are two writers going at it through pages, but in a way that's frustrating for the reader. It's too drawn out.
