Some of us are slightly obsessed with Brandi, and wouldn’t mind if she wanted to be our BFF. I loved Broken Horses so much and even more so that around the same time I was reading, I was planning a girls trip with some besties to go see Brandi in concert in Bend. We’ve seen her before (she’s phenomenal) but I’ve never been to Bend (#bucketlist), so reading her story was top of my list before going to watch her perform again. Inspiring, emotional, brave, and lovely!

Wonderfully written memoir by Brandi Carlile. She takes you through the story of her life with such wit and honesty. It's great that she pulled back the curtain to show you how it really is like to be a singer and songwriter. Highly recommend for fans and those looking for inspiration through tough times.

I’ve only ever listened to one other audio book before but when I learned Brandi narrated her book and there were songs included, I was in. It was more emotional hearing her voice as she recounted her beyond amazing and spiritual (in so many ways) life than I imagined. And now I’m off to listen to Brandi, the twins, and Joni Mitchell.
