John Tucker is the perfect man. Sabrina James is a driven, smart, pretty dumb woman. The way she tried to give Tucker space that was completely unnecesary drove me nuts, even if I understood the why. Tucker is a saint, he had so much patience with her. They were perfect for each other from the start, even with Sabrina resisting their connection because of who she is and where she is going in life. Some people were total assholes to her and I hated each and everyone, she did not deserve it. Even if her resistance of Tucker drove me nuts I totally loved her.

I had high expectations for this one, because I loved the glimpses of Tucker we got from the other books. Unfortunately this didn't do it for me. I'm not a big fan of the unexpected pregnancy trope, and I felt like that just took over the whole story which made the romance hard to believe. It dragged on at parts as well, and the pacing was a little confusing. The banter with the characters was great as always and that kept me continuing to read.

This was a bit of a letdown after coming off the high from the previous book. I’m usually not a fan of surprise pregnancy tropes and unfortunately, this book is another example why. The story started off strong, the male main character was so likeable and the epitome of a gentleman but the female main character was frustrating and so hard to root for because she was constantly getting in the way of her own happiness.

I love how the books keep building up this world and bringing us new guys to fall in love with. It gets more difficult each time to pick a favorite!

This book backtracks a bit and overlaps with the third book, so it was nice to fill in the gaps and see what Tuck was up to while everything was playing out with Dean and Allie. Tucker is just amazing. I'm a sucker for a Southern gentleman, and that describes him perfectly! My only complaint is that he wasn't the main focus of the book. Granted, Sabrina had much more going on, more to deal with, and the plot line directly affected her more, so it makes total sense that she got more page time. But selfishly, I would have just loved more Tucker!

Sabrina from Dean's perspective was easy to dislike, but once you see her home life, her work ethic, and her love and loyalty to her friends she is so easy to love. Yes, she has some deep wounds that keep Tuck at arm's length, but you really can't blame her for that. She's been abandoned by the people who are supposed to love her most, and she's surrounded by toxicity in her home. It's easy to see how she could be aloof and cynical at times.

She and Tuck together just works. They fit so well and their chemistry was palpable. I loved pairing these two unlikely lovers together, and the results were steamy and touching at the same time. The surprise pregnancy trope is one that's typically disliked, and I was SO anxious about how it would pan out because of how driven Sabrina was. But watching it all come together was sweet and endearing, and I loved seeing Tucker work his butt off to earn Sabrina's trust.

Tuck's mom got under my skin, especially later on when she meets Sabrina. I get the overprotective single mom attitude, believe me, but she was just so unlikable in those moments. And the way she kept pressuring Tuck to move back to Texas? Meh.

Like I said, it's hard to pick a favorite...Tucker is, for sure, my favorite guy, but I think it's a tie for fav in the series between the second and third.

This book reminded me of why I hate the pregnancy trope so much. We hate a FMC who can’t get out of her own way. The ending couldn’t even save it for me. A waste of a storyline for a very lovable MMC.

Nossa, não tava a espera de gostar assim tanto🫣
