Meghan Quinn is just kind of cringy. The MMC is supposed to be charming and likeable but I didn’t actually like him until the final quarter of the book, when he starts to be funny. Just some of the moments are so awkward… The grudge she has with him seems overblown, and the third act dramatic breakup gets annoying.

in my opinion the grudge wasn’t worth all that, but still love them

A lot of the chapters in this book are way too long. It made it feel like the book was dragging at points

Super cute! Watching Brody felt a bit like a trainwreck but it was a good read overall

I love anything Meghan Quinn. Maggie and Brody were an easy couple to root for, though the third act breakup was frustrating. A good simple quick read. I love that the series is continuing as well. I haven’t read the Cane series yet but I love how the worlds of her books intertwine. The Hopper boys are going to be fun to continue reading about, and find out where their devil father continues.

This book started out so so funny. I loved the back and forth between Brody & Maggie but it didn’t last through the whole book which disappointed me. I’m glad I read it and I usually love Meghan Quinn’s books but this one didn’t hit the mark for me.
