This book is You've Got Mail . Which in turn is The Shop Around the Corner . Which in turn made it nearly impossible for me to dislike, due to the fact that I love those two stories. Even if this particular version was so tooth-achingly cutesy, I found myself reeled in. Ah the frustration at that. And then add the unsettling realization that I am eerily similar to the main character. That just adds flames to the frustration. So yes, I liked this book. Is it absolutely, over-the-moon brilliant? No. Has it been done before, in better ways? Yes. But I still liked it. And my Slytherin soul shames me for it.
I LOVED IT! EVERY SINGLE PART OF IT. It was just sooo adorable. Both of them were just so adorable. I think I'm gonna have to buy this book!
This was such a fun book to reread! I think maaaaybe I’ve aged out of the demographic where I was totally gushing over this (there were a few things in this book that made me go “eeeehhhhh”), but Kasie West will always be an integral part of my high school reading experience, so it’s always a joy to revisit her work.

Kasie West's books always have precisely what I'm looking for, and this one also fits. Lily and Cade were technically enemies-to-lovers, and I loved the teenage angst that played into their banter and relationship. I also am a sucker for some good anonymous letter writing, and it was great here. Lily's family was big and chaotic, and I liked that each of her siblings had an established place in the story. The music plot line was fun as well, and I liked that lyrics, bands, and poetry were important aspects. This was a quick and fun read, and I'm glad I picked it up!
Very classic cute YA love story but at the same time I couldn't put it down so I do rank it higher than many of the other similar books I have read.

Even though I predicted it being Cade I was still blown away with how she did that plot I’m so in love with the characters and how realistic the family and friendship were like it just felt so comforting in the best way. Obsessed.

I think this is my new favorite contemporary romance novel. I loved this and read it all in one day. The plot goes fairly quickly and it’s super sweet and fun. I liked how the main character treated others. She wasn’t perfect in this area, but she was kind to her siblings and best friend which I really liked. The theme of music was really fun throughout and the whole anonymous pen pal plot. I really enjoyed not knowing who the lover was because I got to know him the same way Lily does. I also really liked the big crazy family. With a big family myself, I can really relate to that. Overall very fun, sweet, clean romance perfect if you want a relaxing read.
