This book was great! I stayed up to read it as I could not put it down ☺
This book was absolutely adorable. One of my favorites by Kasie West. Her books are cute and are quick reads.
*2.75/5 stars*
“Who are you talking to?”
“Myself.”
“You do that a lot.”
“I know. I’m the only one who understands me.”
P.S. I Like You is light and addictive read, though not one of my favourites by KW. It doesn't come any close to my love of On the Fence, nor is it as good as The Distance Between Us, The Fill-In Boyfriend, Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss or Sunkissed, yet it was still quite great contemporary read overall.
While the characters were cute and likeable - though I did have a problem or two... or three with the love interest in the first half (or more) of the book - they felt a bit flat overall. Hate-to-love romance is one of my favourite tropes, but it didn't work here for me through most of the novel, mainly because I wasn't that fond of the love interest. I did warm up to them (the love interest) eventually, but it took quite some time for me.
“I feel like if I hold things close, never share, then I never give anyone the opportunity to judge me.”
All in all: Light, fun read with a love interest who, unfortunately, wasn't my favourite for more than half of the book, though with very cute family dynamics and overall good vibe.
“Words brought us together though they almost kept us apart.
You trusted me with your secrets and then you stole my heart.”

Because I need some cuteness in my life and Kasie West can always deliver!
I don't have many hight hopes that this one will be just as amazing read as was [b:On the Fence|18298225|On the Fence|Kasie West|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1383229604l/18298225._SY75_.jpg|25783143], but hopefully it will be somewhere along the sweetness of [b:The Distance Between Us|15283043|The Distance Between Us|Kasie West|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1358144875l/15283043._SY75_.jpg|20938637].
Also, I've heard that this one has some kind of hate-to-love romance and that's one of those tropes I can never have enough of!

Kasie West, you never disappoint. I have been reading your books since I was a teenager and now as an adult they’re still so good to me. Definitely a break from all those smut filled books, sometimes it’s a nice little break to a more innocent type of love story, and with slow burn. I love it everything you write is always so well written and enthralling.
Predictable? God yes. But still so cute and fluffy and fun.
It reminded me of You've Got Mail, which is one of my all time favorite movies. I've seen it 100 times but in the end when Tom Hanks says "don't cry, Shopgirl" and Meg Ryan admits she wanted her penpal to be him... I weep.
And when the story is done right, even if it's been done a thousand times, I'll love it each time. Like I did with P.S. I Like You. Which maybe I didn't absolutely love but really liked. There were some silly things that didn't need to be there (apology man bracelet from the mom? come on. also really hate the pretty, mean girl trope but I guess it's tradition at this point) but as a whole a really cute and sweet book.

I gave it a 45 minutes listen and it just wasn't for me. It felt like a story I already knew with characters I've met a hundred times before and the interaction with the mystery guy hadn't even started yet but it was already predictable who it was going to be, so I saved myself some time and moved on to something else.
I do think this book would've appealed to a younger version of me though, so I don't think it's bad, just that it's not the right fit for me.
