This book has so many twists and turns and I can take you on such an amazing emotional journey!!!! This book is such a good read!!!!!! Even if there is no fighting or anything majorly exciting there's still something that is interesting happening!!!!!!!
Divergent is the first novel in the Divergent series which is set in a dystopian society divided into 5 factions. Each year, 16-year-olds take an aptitude test to determine which faction they fit into. When Beatrice takes the aptitude test, she learns she is divergent and fits multiple factions. However, she must keep it a secret as it can cause death. During the Choosing Ceremony, Beatrice must decide which faction to join and devote the rest of her life to.
Divergent is a good book and I enjoyed learning which faction Beatrice chose and the initiation process she went through. There is drama between the initiates because only 10 will be able to become members while the rest will become factionless, so the stakes are high. However, Beatrice does make friends and even finds romance along the way. At the end, things ramp up and this part is especially fast-paced and sets up the next book, Insurgent. I am curious to continue the series.

Absolutely AMAZING book! I immediately fell in love with it! Great for fans of The Hunger Games.

This book is okay. It's enjoyable. Just not fantastic. Especially the other two. I was only in it for the concept, not the excecution.

i finally understand what all of the hype around this book is!
the writing style, plot and characters were all well-developed. the only reason for four stars instead of five is because i found some parts to be predictive, and the start of the romance was very typical ya. but, the book (and romance) developed to something deeper and more original, and i very much enjoyed this book!
now i can't wait to get my hands on the sequel, insurgent, to see what will happen next!
