it took me a longggg time to get into this book but once i did it was really good! the fight scenes with the mechas were very cool, i really liked the world it was really interesting. i really liked sona and eris but sona was probably my favorite of the two. i will say, i thought the beginning was really slow to get into, and the ending was a little lackluster but i still really liked it! can’t wait to read the sequel!

Perfectly adequate and okay.
Setting was interesting, I liked the two leads well enough. The side characters' constant sarcasm, edgy quips and threats got pretty tiring, especially when the leads started doing the same. The whole business with the boyfriend was p eye-rolling, too... can we please stop giving bi women shit boyfriends and having the other (usually lesbian) woman lead 'save' her from them? The boyfriend could've just been a close friend or entitled schmuck.
Didn't care for the audiobook much, either. One narrator was pretty good, the other used a constantly edgy whisper-voice that didn't suit a lot of the characters, and rarely changed when characters were shouting or happy, etc.
Probably won't bother with the sequel. If I do it'll be ebook.
