CARA. realmente bom.

This starts out so goddamn strong. The writing is beautiful and engaging. Sona's characters is so likeable and heartbreaking.

When we were introduced to Eris though, I just found her a little pompous and insufferable, which is fine when all of the other characters react appropriately, calling her out on it. But for most of the book it's treated as if she's being a delight.

I wanted to love this so much but just found myself losing interest as the story progressed. It came to the climax of the novel and I just didn't care anymore.

Will maybe pick up the next one but making no promises.

Enemies to distrustful allies to lovers. A lovely blend of queer romance, found family, and rebelling against the system with of course a heavy dash of pacific rim style mechas.

this was a lovely read, but it took me awhile to finish due to work and school. i was determined to finish it though. mikuta is brilliant at creating hard hitting one liners, and i loved how she portrayed both of her povs. you could really tell a difference between them.

my main critique is that the side cast fell away, and they weren’t really memorable. i also think that eris moved on a little quickly from her ex, and i wish milo’s character was explored a bit more. he was a very compelling concept, but he was brushed to the side. i haven’t picked up the sequel yet, but i’m excited for where the story goes!
