It gave me the voice to not force myself to be the extrovert everyone has spent their life trying to force me to be.

This book gave such insight into the power of introverts. As an introvert it prompted me to not only further understand myself but to look closer at my life and why I am the way I am or why I do the things I do. This is an excellent and worthwhile read for any introvert wanting to understand more about themselves, any extrovert wanting to understand the lives of some of their peers or anyone who wants to understand why parts of our society such as schools and offices are designed the way they are. Highly recommend to anyone considering reading this excellent book!

I'm going to be honest...I had a really hard time getting through this book. Sometimes it seemed more like a history book than a book about introversion. The reason why I want to read this book is to recognize myself in described situations, possibly with tips and tricks for the quiet introvert in a loud extroverted world. So personally, I don't want whole chapters on history or business.
Each chapter is a narrative piece about an introverted person who has been important to the world as we know it today. While I was looking for a book about how introversion works and how to move in an extroverted world, I found a book that praises various introverts who have brought change. Sometimes it seems as if the book is an advertising series to prove to extroverts that 'introverts are important people too!!!'. Or that introverts can also achieve something, despite their introversion. Unnecessary in my opinion, like knocking on an open door.
More often I felt like I was reading a research paper that I had a hard time getting through than a book I read because I found it fun or interesting.
And don't get me wrong, the message is still an important one to get out in the world (and I hope every extrovert will understand and learn someday), but I just had different expectations.

Really has mad eme question if I've just been acting in pseudo-extraversion this whole time
