The book had a promising start but as you got further in it became rather mixed up. The characters seemed to contradict themselves, one minute Oliver was saying he would never date anyone then he was all over Isaac, saying he could t even talk to anyone else, then he was all over him but then saying no one could know and they had to pretend to hate eachother. The same went for Oliver's parents, one minute they are very conservative and there is talk of arranged marriages, then it's like they completely forget about their views and his mother can't wait to take her gay son shopping. By the end of the book I just didn't care about the characters or the plot any more.

So many 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 but I loved them! 😅
Oliver and Isaac took me a bit to fall in love with, but I was eventually rooting for them.
I was more interested in the side characters (I NEED OWENS BOOK RIGHT NOW!!) And I wished there was more of the fencing/sport.
The family drama was nice though. 😁

I don’t even know we’re to start. This story is so Fricken amazing that I can’t express any words to tell you that this is so amazing good. This is a MM angsty read and let me tell you it is a fast paced hard to put down book. This is an amazing start of a new series by 2 amazing writers. Oliver is so intense that he drove me crazy with his obsession with Isaac. These two are the perfect couple.

The first chapter is about religious homophobes. I can do without the self-loathing for being gay that will probably follow.

Before you dive into this book be sure to read the trigger warnings. Who doesn’t love a story of rich meets poor and cannot get them out of their head. This is a steamy story of Oliver and Issac going from strangers to teammates to lovers. There is some angsts but not much just enough to keep it interesting. Cannot wait for the second book of their series to come out.
