Really? This book is so boring but I have some fun reading it.

Definitely a YA book. Simple and predictable, but yet a sweet story.

I knew what to expect from this book, but I thought it was really unoriginal because the rock star context is also present in the Rosemary Beach series. I did really like the parts when the focus was less on the romance and more on other things, but unfortunately, there were only few of that. Breathe felt more like an YA novel, including high school drama, with some sex scenes in it, so it felt a little more angsty than the Rosemary Beach series. I guess I'm going to continue on with the series anyway. When I'm reading these books, I'm always enjoying myself, but when I'm not, I always want to be over with these books.

Whipped! I just want a rockstar to fall in love with me is that to much to ask…?

I absolutely loooooooved this book. I cannot explain in words how perfect Jax and Sadie are. I mean I loved a female protagonist. That IS an achievement!

I finished the book and only then found out that this was Abbi Glines' debut novel.
Spoiler
I wish I was half as talented as her when it comes to characterization. And it's 1 of the finest debut novels I've read so there you go.

Sadie is a lovely character. A little Mary Sue in the beginning but once the story got going I loved her. I really appreciate the way the reader isn't made to feel sorry for her but the situation is explained so matter-of-fact-ly. I guess it helps that as a narrator she isn't whiny.

And Jax. Don't even get me started on Jax. I think when he finally said that he loves her I was literally jumping up and down for joy!

Of course
Spoilerwhen he left I was pissed as hell.
Yes that was literally me because Jax is just so awesome. You know what people like Jax are called? Do you?

I know I'm using too many gifs. But I don't care! And in the
Spoilerhospital
when he sings to her ALL THE TIME she's errr...

. Yes I paid attention and didn't use the word he objected to. See! I pay attention Jax! Well yeah what was I saying?
Oh yes, when he did that:

This is the reason why we fall for fictional guys. ALL. THE. TIME.
This happened with Dank too. I'm almost afraid to read the sequel but I don't really get the feels from Marcus like every1 else seems to so I'm pretty cool.

 DNF

Well, I never guess that I will DNF Abbi Glines book. I read her other series, Rosemary Beach. I found it interesting. However with Sea Breeze series it is too juvenile. The story of modern Cinderella. A girl meet her prince charming. The prince charming is a rock star. Jax is suppose to be sweet and perfect. But I found him t be 1 dimensional.

Sadie is suppose to be a strong and independent young woman who thrusts into the world way too young. But she is also very 1 dimensional. There is no chemistry. No spark. Nothing between these 2. I am so bored listening to the audio book. So I hit DNF at 55%. I just can not continue.

Was this her first novel? Because it sure seemed like it... Usually I fall head over heels for Abbi Glines's writing but this one wasn't as special as the others. Either way, I read it in one sitting... But her writing has definitely improved since this book.

Then Abbi gave me Breathe.

Honestly, I should be too old for these books. I should roll my eyes, and laugh at everything in the book.

But I don't.

Abbi has this ridiculous talent for wrapping up a perfect package of romance, angst, tragedy, and a fun setting. I was engaged from the first page and yet again we were off and running on this story of forbidden love.

I have to be honest. I spent a good portion of this story annoyed with Jax. He was so annoyed with being a celebrity, I just don't see why he kept being the celebrity, he was so--well--not feeling it most of the time.

Yes, this story had insta-love.

Did I care?

Nope.

Because the story as a whole had me so riveted from beginning to end that I sat back and enjoyed the story.

I completely loved this book... The author did an amazing job with the characters, she made them really believable, like they actually existed, and i sure somewhere in the world there is someone like Sadie, and also someone like Jax... Every time i read a line i just imagined it happening in front of my eyes. For me its definitely one of the best books ever been written... And the fact that i read the book in about 9 hours makes it even more amazing, considering i was sick and that i was doing other things at the same time that i read...
