If it is a .5 star I round up

Re-read and still a 5 star read

Absolutely loved Jax and Sadie's story the first time I read it and loved it the second time around as well.

I need a Jax in my life. I mean, he is the best. He is in love with Sadie, but also knows that his life is not something you want to give to someone else. Not because it is awesome, but because it is nerve-wrecking and you can't live a life with all the gossip and journalists wandering around your house.
I don't know what to say more, then I'm in love with Jax. Sorry, it is what it is ;)

I liked Sadie because she was kind, hard working and innocent. Jax caught me off guard by actually being a nice human being. (I expected him to be a total jerk, the way all cliche rock stars are) But the way they fell in love was sudden. It was also too cheesy, honestly.

I loved the concept of "Breathe" though. It's loving someone so much that they are essential for you to be able to breathe. The song Jax wrote for Sadie was real sweet. Another thing I loved about the story: Marcus. He's such a great guy omg. I wanted Sadie to choose him although I knew she won't. I was really sad for Marcus but then I discovered he'll have his own story in the next book so I'm really excited to read about it.

A very beautiful story on how to love when your life is falling apart or when your life isn't yours.

I cant even explain how much this book annoyed me. The characters were unbearable and the writing made me feel like I was reading some really bad kinda of One Direction Fan Fiction or something??? The story itself would not have been so bad if they got rid of the romance with the pop star and focused on the teenage girl having to provide for her mother, and the PND and those parts. But instead it was another book about a teenage girl who spirals into some sick depression where she wont even eat because a boy dumped her, even though they barely knew each other. And just the general possessiveness and controllingness of it made me very uncomfortable. As much as I liked Marcus over many of the characters I probably wont read the rest of the Sea Breeze series.

I've been busy with NaNoWriMo, so I haven't got to read as much as I wanted to.

I'm not sure how I feel about Breathe at first. The dialogues between the characters are so...scripted. And our main guy, Jax Stone? I dunno, he sounds so...formal. Stiff at times. And cheesy, oh yes, every word that comes out of his mouth when he woos our girl Sadie is totally and purely CHEESE.

But I happen to love cheese, so.

I understand that this book is the author's debut novel, so if that's really the case then she did a good job. You just have to flow with cheese to like this novel, and I had a really nice and cheesy swim.

Will read the second book when I have time. Jax Stone wins the girl but Marcus Reed has my heart.
I like Marcus.

This one is hard to rate. I give it 2.5 stars because of the amount of eye rolls I endured during this. I wanted to LOVE it but mostly it was a cross between - a'ight and JUST StOP the ridiculousness NOW ugh.ms Mary was my favorite. Sadie's mom made me so angry and Sadie herself wasnt a strong character, Jac was too cheesy to believe, and Marcus was cool which makes me curious about the follow up to thos book which he is in. The story was just overall so unrealistic and cheesy. And it repeated itself a lot. It was frustrating.

I think I'm in shock. Why did I pick this up? And why did I like it? Why did I like it so much?

This book brings the cheese. Like ridiculously cheesy. But I still liked it so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Good trash. Would've loved if I read when i was fourteen.

I still think about this book 5 years later.
