this book was really good. it had the drama and romance. sometimes in romance books for me moove very slow. this one was not like that. my library but this in as a ya book not sure that is were i would put it. overall this was a good book i can not wait for the next one.

6 years ago I gave this five stars. Oh how my tastes have changed! Glines as an author is like nostalgia to me. Reading her older books always gives me a warm feeling and I’m glad to say that at least that didn’t change.

Breathe didn’t hold up plot-wise to me. Typical Cinderella type story with characters that were okay, but not memorable. Sadie was doing everything she could to make ends meet because her mother was not winning any awards for that one. She was easy to like and root for. Jax was back and forth a lot so it made it hard to say I liked him the entire time.

Jax was so back and forth and he did make some very stupid decisions regarding his and Sadie’s relationship. He was so sharing in his feelings about her, but wouldn’t tell her simple things that would make a girl jump to conclusions.

The moments between them were sweet and I can understand the attraction between them.

All in all, it was a good reread for nostalgia but it didn't hold up to my initial 5 star rating I gave it a few years ago. I'm still debating on if I'm going to reread and finish books of the series that I never got to. I want to say yes I am since this series surrounds the summer and summer is around the corner.

I enjoy Abbi Glines' work. This book has to be some of her earliest work because it lacks a lot in its storytelling.

I was very frustrated with the heroine. People say that in other books I've read and I wonder what they are thinking. I've read other reviews of this book and they've questioned the heroine and I totally get it. Where was her backbone?

I cannot stand the way her Mother treated her. I get it, she was a crappy Mom, but for Sadie to just accept it over and over and over throughout the book really angered me. I prefer my heroine to grow up over time.

And Jax? WTH? Times get tough and you bolt? Seriously, if you truly loved Sadie you wouldn't run away. If you thought your feelings of love were real you should never be ever be able to walk away... ever. What soul searching did you do to be able to come back?

No real depth in either of these characters.

This wasn't her best book, but it won't deter me from continuing this series in hopes of better stories going forward.

5 stars!!

Amazing author and amazing series. Fan for life!! I keep reading these series over and over again and they still pull at my heart strings the same way they did when i first read them!

Loved it. It was an amazing story. I felt like I could really relate to this book because they are my age. This book really got to my heart. The romance between Jax and Sadie is contagious. The only thing I did not like was the fact it isnt a series. Each book after this one is in the point of view of a less important character from the previous book. So in other words jax and sadie wont be in any of the other books. That I didn't like. I wanted to see their relationship grow more, and I didn't want to let go....LOL

Defff read this book. Its great

Too cheesy for my blood. Everything moved too fast so it was unbelievable. Over-dramatic and cheesy.

Absolutely love this story and having it in my ears just makes it that much better! Jax and Sadie were meant to be from the very beginning. She was just what he needed and he was everything she was trying to avoid. I loved them coming together and him protecting her the only way he knows how.

This was another book that I couldn't put down.

Abbi Glines added some things to this version and I couldn't put it down again!
