Sooo much Scythe in this book! EEEK! Not at all sorry about fangirling over that man! Y'all can keep your War and Nash crushes. I'll just keep on with my man, Scythe and his psychopathic, OTT yumminess, thank you very much!

I really appreciated the exploration of feelings between War and Scythe in this book. It went from: hmm, maybe?, to yes, definitely interested, to all in and definitely want you. Meanwhile, the foursome are still navigating how their relationship works. I want to reach into the pages and just shake the ever life out of Nash because his "I can't because you're his little sister" is driving me batty.

Of course, we get a lot of story in this book. This is the meaty part of the relationship trilogy. Information gathering. Not a lot of figuring out in this installment, and that's okay. That's absolutely how it's supposed to be.

I gave the audiobook a listen too! Whew! Talk about eargasm! Nothing quite like Scythe's satiny growl in your ear delivered by the yummy Gregory Salinas. I absolutely loved it!

Always check the TW/CW:

Scythe! Oh Lordy, that man! Sorry Vincent, but I don’t miss you at all. Not only is Scythe sexier, but far more entertaining. I laughed more because of him than during any other Elle Thorpe book. And his character was so robust. I expected more violence from him, but was pleased to see him soften, especially toward Bliss and War. War is still a hot dirty talker. It was great to see his feelings develop as well. This whole book balanced steam with increased feels and I was into it. Nash is still a bit of a mystery to me, although we did get to see more of him here. I’m still hoping for even more of him though. I’m torn between excitement for the last book with the answers I crave and sadness that the ride is almost over.

<b>War: Bliss allowed to come visit me now, Dad?
Scythe: It's Daddy to you.</b>

Giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the plot is a bit all over the place but... let's be honest, the plot is not the reason why you pick up this book, the reason is SCYTHE. Yeah the smut is ok, the smut is fine, but SCYTHE. AND WAR. BUT MAINLY SCYTHE. I would let this man carve mE UP.

Scythe's best hits:

<i>"She jokes. She's not funny, but we let her think she is." Scythe elbowed the guy, his eyes darkening. "So laugh."

"So a guy jumps a secure fence and watches his boss get her p*ssy licked by a bicker. Is that really such a crime?"

"You need to be right here so I can tell you every time the book was different than the movie."
"So what are we watching?"
"Little Women," Scythe announced.</i>

Mom I'm in love with a psychopath, again.

This was so fucking hot and intense.
The stakes are raised, the heat level will scorch you and the hidden truths and secrets may just burn it all down.
