Oh man, this was a good romp! I'm not sure I've ever read steampunk fiction before and I gotta say, I liked it! I enjoyed all the characters and the lady spy stuffs. I think the story could've stood on its own fantasy without the vampire and werewolves, but it didn't distract from the story.

This was adorable and fun. I didn't realize it was a young adult novel going in. It is set earlier in the same universe as the Parasol Protectorate (most definitely not YA) and it has the same sense of play as those books. YA is not usually my thing, so I'm not sure I'll be going back to finish the series, but if you like YA, give it a whirl.
In “Etiquette and Espionage”, Gail Carriger introduces younger readers to an enjoyable world of Victorian propriety, clockwork creations, supernatural creatures, and intrigue. I found the central character entertaining and sympathetic, and particularly appreciated that her involvement in Matters of Import was not a classic ‘chosen one’ scenario but rather the result of her own personality, talents, and actions. Heartily recommended!

I loved this book so much it was both funny as well as very unique it was a really good read. I loved the characters so much especially Sophronia she was a very entertaining character a girl that is very uncommon and fun to read about. The characters that surrounded her were also so interesting to read about I loved them very much. I loved the plot it started with Sophronia having something unfortunate happen and for her to be sent to finishing school to only find out it was not what she thought other things happen and I really loved the story will read more soon.
