3.5 entertaining fluffy book about Greek Gods.

Audiobook during summer migration.

Insanely cute and easy read.

Why didn’t I read this when it came out? I saw it on the shelves, noted the fun cover and most enticing name-guess I forgot about it. Which is a shame, because I LOVED this book. Pure, unadulterated, hilarious escapism. With lots of Greek mythology thrown in.

Set in modern London, the book follows the miserable lives of a handful of the major Greek Gods and Goddesses. They are bored, hate each other, and seem to be ageing and losing their powers. When Aphrodite tricks Apollo to fall in love with a mousy, meek mortal (the cleaner no less!), a series of events are set off which will lead to either the end of the world, or the rebirth of the their power.

Light, fluffy, funny read!

Fun, quick read mixing Greek myths and modern problems.

Cute, touching, a little bit sexy (not in the spicy way though), very endearing and imaginative.

i liked the concept, but I’ve been reading his for so long and don’t feel invested in the story really at all. it just keeps taking turns I don’t enjoy so I’m over it
