Loved the cheesy amnesia + fake marriage plot I consumed it so fast (these idiots lol)
Felt like it was missing some more to tie up loose ends though so docked half a star

I was pretty disappointed with this one, which made me pretty upset.
Re-Read Review: I read the novel Goalie Tandem and these characters made an appearance and I wanted to read about them again. I'm glad that I did because I think they were sweet, I like that they go the marriage thing out of the way in the beginning and didn't go through the whole book with this hanging over their heads. I liked how chill Dima was, Rory was more in his head but Dima kept his cool. I also weirdly liked that Dima just didn't magically get better, he was still sick and needing help, I also like how the roles reversed at the end.
Dima lost his memory due to a severe concussion after a body check on the ice.
Rory, his best friend who's got a long-time crush on Dima, stays at his side in hospital.
To be able to do that he kind of pretends they are married.
Dima is suprised by that but since he cannot remember anything from the last 9 years, he accepts this. He trusts and likes Rory without knowing much more anyway.
Rory confesses early on but circumstances lead to the two of them having to pretend anyway for a couple more weeks. Which is enough time that Dima even without memory realizes that it's more than pretend for both guys.
Michaela Grey's writing style is intense enough that I got drawn in although not very much happens and the weak spots are obvious. But it didn't diminish the fun of reading how those two dumbasses manage to almost not get together altough they both have been into each other for years.
