Reading this book was like meeting up with old friends; it was a comfort in its familiarity, while almost imperceptibly different. Definitely not as good as the original, but nonetheless, satisfying.

I love Fannie Flagg’s books. They remind me of all of my favorite parts of the conversations I used to have with my no longer living grandparents and my the one I still call to talk to as often as I can.

I absolutely love Fried Green Tomatoes, so I was extremely excited to read this book.
It definitely isn't as strong as the first one, but it was fun to revisit Whistle Stop and to find out what happened to everyone, especially Idgie. Reading this felt like sitting down and visiting with a friend you haven't talked to in a long time.

After 33 years, Fannie Flagg has come out with a sequel to her most famous novel, "Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistles Stop Cafe" which brings back all of her beloved characters and takes them from that time to the present. I hope you'll take a look at my #bookreview on my blog here to see what I thought of it. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2020/10/27/more-fried-green-tomatoes-yes-please/
