Of the three books in this series (so far? Are there going to be more?) I just couldn’t get into this one, and it’s been bothering me all week and I just couldn’t put my finger on it. I stopped and read another book. Thought about just not finishing it, but since I had it for three weeks, I had time to come back to it. But it just didn’t interest or engage me. Maybe it’s because it’s December and I need holiday fluff, or the characters were too sullen and angry at the beginning? I really don’t know.

The best of the series!
I’m glad I pushed through book 2.

This book was so good. It felt like a prequel and end of a series wrapped in one. Each book in the series reminded me that communication is key. I believed and felt for both characters. There was less fanfic’s in between chapters thankfully. I believed in there wild love story even if it may be unrealistic.

Liked the first ~60% but like wow was this book way longer than it needed to be. The last half could've used a solid edit, because it did not need to be that long. And the "big" third-act conflict feels so manufactured! Like these ppl are grown ass adults who have already declared their love for each other. Why are they so incapable of a basic conversation? Ugh straight ppl..

I..... liked this. I loved Maria, but the amount of telling rather than showing really turned me off of this one. Too much character and plot development happened off page due to incredibly confusing time jumps (but that may have more to do with audiobook production?) and I just didn't connect with Maria and Peter as a couple as much as the other pairs in this series.
