3.5 stars rounding up. This is a middle grade novel. Sweet themes of a daughter/father relationship and a child with a passion for writing. Difficult theme of dealing with a distant parent. I loved the writing advice from the author character and character development.

Middle grade fiction is just so good and wholesome. Loved this book.

Super sweet and funny! If you have any appreciation for Jane Austen (especially P&P), then you’ll enjoy this book.

And no need to love plankton before you begin, bc you’ll at least appreciate it when you’re done. :)

Fun little book about an 11 year old budding author. Set in a small Maine town and plenty of Austen references.

Cute, easy read. Was exactly what I needed to mix it up/a palate cleanser. Definitely written for a middle schooler. Going to add it to my daughter's TBR.
