Hay algo fascinante en leer una novela cuyo título devela el final. La crónica va directo a los hechos y el por qué importa más que el cómo.

Another book that really makes me think, What would I do if I were in this situation

This book… left me speechless. I know understand why it has a novel in literature. Besides the book is a true story, the way García Márquez narrates the story and how every character has a difficult way to recover —even not everyone did— is so surprising; entirely hard to handle. I still have no words to describe how I’m feeling but its a story in need to be read.

Le format court ne rend pas hommage aux histoires de Márquez.

Gabriel García Márquez once again demonstrates his skill in crafting memorable characters and using them to tell a captivating story in an interesting location.

In Chronicle of a Death Foretold Márquez explores how an entire town let two brothers murder a man in broad daylight. No one moved to stop the brothers and everyone (including the victim) was forewarned. It's an intriguing look at what we believe others to be capable of and how we can expect the people around us to have already dealt with a situation. Márquez in his typical fashion gives many of the key players rich background stories to bring his setting to life.

It's a quick and easy read. The point isn't mystery, but there's a bit of a side mystery that remains unresolved. It would've been nice to get a hint of the truth on that aspect.
