This books was quite a bit shorter than the first, but equally as good. I think this series is a keeper. Having a story about one of the other sisters was fun. I look forward to reading the next one with equal interest. Princess Poppy has some stubbornness and sassiness to her character that I enjoyed.

- I love these retellings by Jessica Day George. They are so fun and enchanting.

- I'm so happy that Poppy got to have a book of her own. I loved her in Princess of the Midnight Ball, and I still love her. She is a really great feminine character with a lot of strengths. I also love that she isn't a typical princess.

- Although there were several characters in this book, I didn't have trouble remembering who was who like I do with other books with a lot of characters. Everyone had a distinct roll and personality.

- I love that the characters were not what they seemed. At first I really didn't like Ellen at all! At the end, I pitied her, and even grew a little fond of her.

- I like that Poppy involved the "adults" in what was going on. I wish more teenagers would do that. Lord Richard is so kind, and his wisdom was very helpful to the characters.

- I didn't like Christian as much as I did Galen. I'm glad the Poppy said she wanted to get to know him better before jumping in to marriage. I'm sure Christian is very nice, but I didn't get to see the real him for a lot of the book.

- This is one of my favorite Cinderella retellings because of it's unique twist.

The only reason this book wasn't my favorite is because there was no fighting, which usually has to be in a book for me to enjoy it. But, nevertheless, I still really liked this book.

Another fine book for reading out loud. Poppy is a national treasure and I loved seeing the world from her point of view.

I recently read this book and I found it to carry through with George's amazing plot lines and writing sophistication. This book follows Rose's younger sister Poppy and her adventures in another city called Breton. It follows the plotline of Cinderella but with a different twist. I am so excitd to see if there will be another installment. Fingers crossed!

I think if I had read this back when it was published (2010!!!!! That doesn't even feel like a real year anymore.), I would have adored this book. However, with the plethora of retellings that come out each year, this one seemed very simple and predictable. I feel like it's almost more middle grade.

This story follows Princess Poppy (from Princesses of the Midnight Ball), on an adventure of her own. With an evil "godmother" on the loose, a spoiled and very defiant servant creating mayhem in the castle, and the terrors of having to dance again, Poppy has to find her inner strength in order to help save her new friends and the entire kingdom. Filled with danger, romance, villains, and magic, this story takes what thought you knew about the Cinderella tale and puts a new spin on it. Princess of Glass is a great read for all ages.

When I started reading this book I didn't know quite what to expect. At times, the plot felt like it was developing rather slowly but overall I think George did a good job creating this new take on the Cinderella fairy tale. The only thing I really didn't like was that I felt like it ended way too fast after such a long build up, but overall it was a good book.

Really liked the first book in the series. This one started out strong but I felt like the ending was rushed. Still an enjoyable series for fairy tale fans.
