2025 will be one-word reviews and a short explanation of the word-choice:

"Genuine"

I have never read a memoir such as this. I am not an Undocumented American, brought here as a child, treated like a citizen of Nowhere. Now after reading this, I understand more of the plight of millions. Remember, most undocumented individuals are refugees who come here fleeing a homeland rattled by American Empire. An important read in 2025.

i wish i could say that being a global citizen is enough but i havent been able to see the world, and i'm still trying to figure out what citizenship from any country means to me. i wish i could say that being a human being is enough, but there are times i don't feel like a human being, i feel like a thing.. a thing to be explained and understood, tolerated, and accepted. a thing that spends too much time educating people so it doesn't have to educate itself on what it has become. i feel like a thing that cant just be.
