This was a super cute graphic novel. Childhood friends to lovers? Magic?? Given and chosen family???

I loved the cozy vibes and beautiful illustration style. I appreciate Tam's sense of humor - punny and a little self-deperecating. I would love to have The Nana's in my life! I'll have to settle for being my own version of The Nana's to my nieces and nephews.

The book wasn't bad by any means, but it didn't really click for me. I'm wondering if the fact that one of the characters used hearing aids explains the disconnect.

I reread this with the hopes of enjoying it more than my last read. Unfortunately, my feelings were about the same. It was cute, but the plot was rushed and didn’t delve into the characters as much as I would’ve liked.
