3.5⭐️ this was a cute book, kind of a slow burn and second chance romance.
Jordan is a journalist set to write a profile on Levi, the new hockey pro that served in the military (with her late-husband). Levi has a hard time opening up to her for the interviews because he’s been holding back his crush on his best friends gf/wife ever since he met her.

4.5 out 5 Stars: So there were some terms in this book and probably her next books are a little cringey for certain anatomy and bodily fluids. That being said I did love the spice and chemistry between Jordan and Levi. The awareness this book brought to the homelessness and lack of resources. The way it addressed the female discrimination in sports and the workplace and how Jordan fought it. The more we keep talking about these concerns the more they will hopefully be addressed.
I loved the found family feeling of the team which is one of my favorite reasons to read Hockey romances.I loved the HEA, spice, and growth for both of these characters along with no third act breakup. The book was an overall sweet read, but I just couldn't get over those terms.

DNF at 20%. I found the writing style hard to latch on to. Lots of extra details added in and worded oddly, which wasn't my vibe. The plot had potential, not sure if it turned out okay but I'm fine with not knowing 🤷🏻♀️

Should you read this book?
Yes, if… you love a grumpy x sunshine vibe with fun banter and good spice
No, if… a sometimes forced feel to the banter will make you cringe too hard or if you don’t like knowing they’re referencing books you haven’t read (ignore this point if you HAVE read the other Rebels books)
