The book follows 4 women who consistently make poor decisions and have life altering life changes on the same exact day. They treat themselves and their loved ones poorly. They lie to eachother a d themselves consistently. No relationship in this book is healthy. No one tells the truth in this book and uses each other. I thought it was about women opening their dream bookstore and strong friendships. Disappointed.

I had high hopes for this book because it had a strong opening. Once all the problems popped up for each of the main characters, it became less about opening a book store and more about them wading through their personal stories. This is where I became less into the book.
I love a good book about books. This one fell short for me.

'The Bookshop Sisterhood' by Michelle Lindo-Rice is a sweet and uplifting novel about female friendship and new beginnings. Mackenzie's journey from scandal to self-discovery is relatable, and the bookshop setting is charming. The characters are endearing, and Lindo-Rice's writing is engaging. However, the plot felt somewhat predictable, and some character development was lacking. Despite this, the book's lighthearted tone and themes of forgiveness and love make it an enjoyable read. Fans of women's fiction and romance will appreciate this story. Overall, a pleasant, if not outstanding, addition to the genre.
