Highly disappointed by this book after it was recommended by booktok/booksta. If you choose to read this for a light, fun read, I would skip the first four chapters and skim the fifth - they are not written well and are incredibly cringey. I was invested while I was reading but there were so many plot lines left completely open/unresolved and ultimately felt like the couple didn’t have much chemistry at all despite them claiming their love for each other every two seconds near the end.
The author’s style is NOT my favorite, the little side comments read like a middle grade book when this book is really just about sex. I felt like the main girl was very much a pick me type of girl and generally just seemed to hate women around her for no reason. I didn’t really like either of the main characters, I found them bland and their attributes not described well other than their genitalia during sexy time so I had no clue how to picture them in my head.
Also found many, many typos throughout the novel while I was reading (usually lack of commas). Honestly don’t think l’ll read the second book in the series. A few of the sex scenes had a lack of full consent in them (mostly intake of alcohol) and that was very uncomfortable.

*** Spoilers all the way through the review ***

I‘m sorry but there are just so many things wrong with this book. Jason has serious anger issues if you ask me and the way he treats Olive feels like she‘s his possession more than an actual human being. Other than being wickedly good-looking and a movie star I don‘t see what she sees in him. He does not seem to respect her very much and how does she react to that? She‘s still all lovey dovey with him. There were so many problematic scenes and the worst one was probably when he was fingering her while she was drunk out of her mind. I mean, wtf? It’s not consensual sex if the person doesn‘t even remember it happened the next day, folks. I‘m sorry but this book was an utter disappointment and the content was really fucked up at times. I mean, someone spiked his drink and no one did anything about that? That‘s freaking illegal, guys. But nothing happened?! And don’t even get me started on Olive acting like a little child the whole time rather than a twenty-something year old woman. It only made the sex scenes more cringy than they already were. Plus, I really cringed hard every time he called her „little one“. Is she having daddy issues (bc the way she talks about her dad in the last few chapters also made me cringe inexplicably) or is he just giving of a rather pedophilic vibe? Maybe it’s both.

The only positive thing was Olive‘s and Lucy‘s friendship. And that‘s about it. If you can help it, don’t read it. There are so many good, spicy and more 21st century like novels out there. Unfortunately, this isn‘t one of them.

I absolutely hated some parts of this book (cough, cough page 254 and 299) but I also adored some of it. I can’t in good conscience give this more than two stars.

A BIG FREAKING NO , will not read again , besides the bad writing that looks like it's written by a twelve year old wattpad author , there has been two seggsual assaults that were completely romanticised . There's absolutely no diversity of any kind . I have read fanfictions that were written better than this that didn't romanticise seggsual assault . Bigggg noooo. Im disgusted .
