This book made me extremely uncomfortable. The characters don't understand consent and the main character acts like a child. This is even worse because the love interest, who was 18 when she was 13, knew her as a child and still calls her 'Little one', the nickname he called her when she was 6.

next to the fifty shades of grey, this is the worst book i have ever read.

firstly, the writing style was intolerable. this book was like a wattpad book written by a twelve year old— heck, wattpad books like those might have a better writing style, actually.

secondly, this book romanticizes sexual assault. i’m not going to explain further, but drunk consent is NOT consent. taking your partner’s clothes off while they were asleep is not any better either.

thirdly, the characters were so unlikable. the only trait jason has is being a movie star and calling olive “little one”. he’s blander than mal from shadow and bone. on the other hand, olive is literally the definition of a kid in an adult body. i wanted a sunshine main character, not the whole solar system.

i wish i could tell you that it lived up to the hype, that it’s as beautiful as it sounds in the book’s description. unfortunately, it wasn’t.

(never trusting contemporary romance booktok again lol)

Really liked this book. Loved the couple, there were just the one scene where the line of consent was a bit too blurry

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and read it in one sitting. To make my review short and sweet: I love Jason Thorn. I wish there was a lot less miscommunication. And I wish as much as I LOVED the spicy scenes, that there were more *falling in love* scenes too (not just spice and lust).

That being said, I loved the characters in this book and I’m happy with how fast paced and cute it was. It definitely gives a RomCom type of vibe and was just adorable and also sexy to read. Read this if you are looking for a cute, spicy romance to make you smile and gawk.

This book is abhorrent and shouldve never been published. There’s countless times SA happens but it’s not written to be seen as SA.
