The Blood That Binds Us by Erin Mainord is the first book I’m reading by this author and I am blown away by how amazing this book was! I lost hours while reading this book…hours! I saw a video on TikTok about this book so I immediately came over to Amazon to find out more about it and I will never regret that decision as I just found a new author who’s amazing. I love a enemies to lovers story and this book delivers that and more! Like dark fantasy, this is one heck of a tale. Love a good magic system, yep it has that as well! Love a good Villian, look no further. Want amazing characters, Wren and Sin have it in spades! There’s angst, suspense, secrets and the best part, it’s a slow burn. You can really feel the tension. I’m honestly obsessed with this book! I will mention to check your trigger warnings to be on the safe side but everything about this book is beyond phenomenal. Worldbuilding has to be some of the best writing, it’s incredible. The plot twists…oh my gosh, I need book two! I don’t know how I’m going to wait until it comes out! Ah!!! But seriously reading the characters go through their struggles and tribulations really made an intriguing and compelling story. I will be forever grateful I found this author on TikTok. Hands down one of my favorite books. I can’t recommend this book and the author, Erin Mainord enough.

I loved this story but for those who can be triggered by things go into this series being warned. PLEASE check TW! This was a severe enemies to lovers.... to enemies?? I suppose we will find out in the next book hahaha! I am excited to find out what happens next but this book definitely left me wanting more! I am not well versed in the trending terms but I was say that due to the strength of the enemy part of enemies to lovers I would say this was also a slow-ish burn. Found family is my favorite trope and having the FMC have that helped me really connect with her and be on her side as well as understand her. The magic in this world is very interesting and easy to understand which I also really like. MMC if he is morally grey or on the path of a redemption arc I feel he has a long way to go but I WANT... no NEED to see it!! The ending for me I think would be considered plot twisting but I did figure out a bit of it before it happened but not near the extent that it was and that was one heck of a surprise. I am extremely sucked into this story 10000% Now.... to wait for the next one!
