This book is absolutely fantastic! I highly suggest it if you're seeking a slow-burn dark fantasy romance filled with bloodlust, magic, spice, and betrayal. It's hands down one of my top reads this year, and I'm eagerly awaiting the release of the second book. The cliffhanger at end stop playing!!! I need to know now!!! To bad I have to wait so freaking long untill the next

Erin completely blew me away with this story. I don't know what I was expecting going into this, but I was left completely breathless as I finished the last page. The FMC (Wren) is strong, sassy, and resilient BUT maintains a realistic personality, feeling a complex range of emotions and has room for character growth.

This was really good! At first, I wasn't invested because a) I'm not a Fantasy Girlie, so the world and vibes meant nothing to me, and b) it was annoying how the FMC refused to use the very powers that give her the confidence to stand up for herself and others. But! Then I'm at the last 30% and I'm having the time of my life, and I realize this is what the author was building out the whole time, and MAN was it worth it! Definitely my favorite romantasy read ever - can't wait to read book 2!
This was a true enemies to lovers and I DEVOURED it. The angst??? Amazing. And the ending??? I didn’t see that coming AT ALL. I’m so excited to see where the story goes in the next book!!
