4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was a super fun truly enemies to lovers, truly dark romantasy & I was eating it up! Here are my pros & cons (spoilers for sure)
The book delivered what it promised. One of the greatest depiction of enemies to lovers trope (not strengers to lovers, not unreasonably hostile people to lovers). That is so rare. Morepver, the fact that we get to enjoy the enemy phase… Perfection!
Sin is great morally grey MMC, it seems like the author really understands what the term means. And despite all this, he NEVER truly abuses MFC - yes he impriso s her and threatens her but no dark romance beside some olay with sharp objects.
Great plot focused book with just the right amout of romance. Great interaction with the characters, especially thise between the MC as they truly showed how their relationship changed.
I had some issues with scenes that didnt add up to me - like eg: they had foreheads pressed together and 2 sentences later she was tilting his head down? where was it in the mean time?
I also kind of expected the plot twist at the end but since I thoroughly enjoyed everything in between. It was great read and I can see rereading this.
The author didnt spend unreasonable amount of time describing everything and thorugh that “palace” was enough of a decription of place to moce from that. I enjoyed that as there was lot going on and I didnt really need all the details of smells amd fabrict and wall paintings. I know some need more description to be able to visualisw things, but I appreciated to focus on characters and conversation and action.

Okay what a fun book! I will say parts in the beginning were a liiiitle slow. But the last 100 pages dang! And the twists at the end? So good! Need to read book two! Perfect if you like fantasy romance, enemies to lovers, blood witches and shifters!
