I could not put this book down, I pretty much finished it in one day. I am so in awe I feel like I need to have coffee with Lamya and ask her all the questions I have about her life.

Overall, this was a really beautiful and unique memoir with a really interesting perspective to share. Through it, I learned a lot about the Quran I had never known before. My only signifiant qualm was that at times, I found the jumping between time periods  to become a bit tedious/formulaic. She repeated stories multiple times in different chapters to remind the read of the context of that era of her life before speaking, which I feel like would not have happened had it been chronological as the reminder of details from past chapters would have been unnecessary.
