Hijab Butch Blues offers a perspective that is often missing in queer and Muslim narratives. Blending Lamya H.’s story with reflections from the Qur’an, the book explores queerness, faith and identity with honesty and vulnerability. Written under a pseudonym to protect their privacy, it highlights intersectional identity, family, community and love.

Really so impactful! I loved the way Lamya told their stories through the stories of the prophet and gave a voice to female religious figures that are so often not talked about. The way she writes is so beautiful!
