I really struggled to choose between 4 and 5 stars for this book. It was unexpected. I knew I'd enjoy it but it cut deeper that I could have ever imagined. I've never felt so seen by a book particularly in her relationship with queerness and with intimacy. Perhaps I'm feeling extra mushy about friendships lately, I love how this book blossomed into a memoir of the care they show to their friends and vice versa. The way they care for themself using the Qur'an. I'm overwhelmed with love for this book
