Finally, Sandman really hit the nail on the head. As I've previously admired Neil Gaiman's knowledge of mythology, so this work showed his amass knowledge and apprecation, combined with the dreamy and absurd nature of the Sandman comics. As a mythology and comic lover, I couldn't be happier.

4.5, another solid sandman. some really memorable and beautiful panels in this one. some really uggo panels too as per usual but HAVE to remember that they were churning issues out once per month (or more??) and they had to be fast but. oy. character look continuity is Not an expectation with these books. loved charles rowland. loved the endless sibling colorful panels in the beginning. and LOOOVED the bios of all the creators and artists in the back. maybe my fave part

Gaiman writes so deeply and darkly sometimes it makes my head hurt to think about it . This was worth the read although it seemed to lag a bit.
