I have so many mixed feelings about this book. I absolutely loved the first half of it but then in the second half I got so annoyed with Callum. He turned very jealous and manipulative. Also the dirty talk during the sex scenes made me cringe

I won’t lie, I just needed a quick smutty book to get me through the last few days. This was sufficient enough. I’m not a huge fan of teacher/student or age gap tropes, and while parts of this story definitely made me a tad uncomfortable, their age gap surprisingly wasn’t a contributor of that. It was.. all the other weird stuff.. hahahah but I guess it’s in the title so I can’t blame the author since it’s exactly what the book is supposed to be.
The smut was good. I enjoyed it for the most part. It just got to be a bit too much near the end. Every single chapter had to involve some type of scene and while the initial ones were great, I was over it by the end. Sometimes I need a little break from the smut to throw a bit more plot in there, but nope, just smut smut smut plot smut smut smut repeat.
However, what got so annoying near the end was that once Oaklyn and Callum (great name btw) had gotten together, their arguments and fights were identical every single time. They grew together in other ways, but pretty much the same conflict over and over again was so exhausting to read about, and took away from my overall enjoyment of the first half of the book. I think I’m also just much more into slow burn so when the couple finally gets together, I lose interest.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book, loved the story, it was so much more than I expected. Loved characters and boy, was it hot and steamy! The sex scenes were really erotic and so well written. Also the pace of the story was perfect, kept me turning the pages eagerly, until the last page. Definitely recommend.
Honestly, the relationship in this is just SO toxic. Especially Callum. Like I know he's been through A LOT, but it's no excuse to act the way he did towards Oaklyn.
