Now, in the nicest way possible: what the fuck did I just read right now.
I actually didn't really ENJOY this book, per say. It made me very uncomfortable, and I couldn't find the humor that all the reviews on the book itself found. It was... dark. Disturbing. No comfort whatsoever. I don't see how anyone could find it to be "hilarious". I actually felt sick while reading a scene or two.
But, I didn't hate it. I was very far from hating it. I saw this book as a book made for the purpose of making me uncomfortable, and it did a very good job at that. It was absolutely horrific in the best sense of the word.
I actually despised how everyone treated the main character. I hate her family with a passion, and her friends deserve only suffering. I'm glad her sister got her life ruined because GOD did she deserve it. Sadly, it wasn't ruined enough. She deserves worse.

Spoiler alert: Couldn’t for the life of me get past those pages with the teacher and the protagonist. Felt so utterly revolted by that scene that I had to physically throw the book away.
