Marrow by [a:Trisha Wolfe|4928927|Trisha Wolfe|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1616249503p2/4928927.jpg] and [a:Brynne Weaver|21299126|Brynne Weaver|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1675130598p2/21299126.jpg] is a dark romance that brings to life two cold-blooded killers that absolutely warmed my heart! I loved Jack & Kyrie’s crazy love story.

Potential triggers: graphic physical violence and murder, decaying and dismembered bodies, animal death, grief and loss, neglect and abuse, untreated PTSD, explicit sexual scenes including somnophilia, breath play, temperature play, blood play and consensual non-consent.

Dr. Jack Sorensen and Dr. Kyrie Roth work alongside each other in forensic research at West Paine University. At first glance, these two share only disdain for each other. But in reality, they share something else in common: the propensity for serial murder.

"Two top predators cannot occupy the same hunting grounds."

Kyrie is the predator that Jack failed to recognize in his midst. Blinded by ignorance, arrogance and his own obsession, it just might cost him everything.

What you’ll find in Marrow:
- serial killer rivalry
- sociopathic enemies to lovers, grumpy x sunshine
- academic setting
- heartwarming romance
- unhinged spicy scenes with many kinks
- violence and gore

"All frozen things thaw in the warmth of the sun."

The writing in this book is absolutely beautiful! I was already familiar with Wolfe's beautiful writing, but this was my first taste of anything written by Weaver. Honestly, the prose is seamless, balanced and is dripping with poeticism.

Jack and Kyrie’s animosity and banter had me cracking up throughout this book, but their chemistry and unique vulnerabilities tugged at my heart. What I loved the most about their romance is how they both come to understand each other and themselves.

"Creatures designed like us were not meant to bask in the light for long. Where we lurk, the darkness always finds us."

The intimate scenes between these two is exactly what I craved from two unhinged killers… including a new-to-me kink that deserves an award for how perfectly it fit into this story.

"This is all for me. Debauched. Deviant. Corrupt. The unholy way in which I'm about to take her would make angels repent."

I would recommend this book to dark romance readers that are fans of Dexter and [b:The Mindf*ck Series|33285942|Mindf*ck Series (Mindf*ck, #1-5)|S.T. Abby|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1547484845l/33285942._SY75_.jpg|54013122] that would want something a little more sexually unhinged.

I am so grateful to have received an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

4.5⭐️ This book was so goo but at the same time so dark so check trigger warnings before reading. This is a dark romance with enemies/rivals to lovers. The two main characters end up creating a challenge and team up together. I don’t want to give too much because this book is good to go into blind. I will say that I was obsessed when reading and I didn’t want to put this book down.

Unhinged. Psychotic. Dark. Twisted. Little to no plot but I still had an okay time watching two insane serial killers fall in love. Nothing to scream from the rooftops about though. I honestly don’t even remember what I just read.
