Unhinged dark romance

+ Enemies to lovers AND rival serial killers
+ Liked learning some science tidbits
- Not a ton of character depth or development

First and foremost - check your trigger warnings because this book has a LOT.

Now, let's get to the good part. This is a rival serial killer romance and it is delicious - he is a forensic anthropologist and she is a biologist, and both of them work at the same university. He's grumpy, she's sunshine. He's control, she's chaos.

The tension is thick, and the romance is slow burn, but full of angst. There is an undercurrent of suspense relating to their history, which feeds into their rivalry, and it only heightens the emotions. And the spice.... LOOK OUT. It's graphic. It's frequent. It's intense. It's HOT. And he has a nickname for her... which only makes it all better.

This book is definitely more romance/spice heavy, but there is still a plot, and I still really enjoyed it. If you like dark romance and true crime, you absolutely want to check this one out.

It was pretty repetitive, I didn’t like either character, and the plot twists were feeble.

Ummmmm. I’m confused.

So Jack is a “born” serial killer but then somehow channels his stabby tendencies to only protecting his girl and giving her an outlet for her stabby tendencies? Did I get that right? Maybe I’ve watched Mindhunter and too many other crime shows to buy this. While I liked his softer side for Kyrie…I also just kinda don’t believe it.

And kyrie is a “made” serial killer but is also sunshine? But then was completely outsmarted by this dumbass ex-FBI dude. Her ruthless nature came across super creepy, but maybe that was the point.

And warning to all!! She has it in the TWs but I’m here to reiterate that this is GRAPHIC & bloody. Like gave me all kinds of ick and I had to skim over the

Releases Tomorrow March 23!

RIVAL SERIAL KILLERS...ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? This is the trope that I have been waiting for. What happens when two hot serial killers are on each other's turf? They join forces...after trying to k!ll each other of course. This book is all-around perfection. I honestly couldn't choose which POV I like more because I'm obsessed with both of them and that RARELY happens. Is this what a love triangle feels like?? I'm here for it.
