So twisted, so demented, so good! I really enjoyed the forensic, academic setting, the rivalry and tension. I also greatly appreciated that it did not pull a trope I started expecting at a certain point that I dislike.

I struggled a little bit with the beginning of this book. But I have always been one to stick it out through the first hundred pages. I am glad I did. I'm really not sure what I was expecting but the relationship that build between Jack and Kyrie is beautiful, albeit slightly disturbing. Even serial killers have that special someone, and that someone for Jack Sorenson is Kyrie. She is the yin to his yang in everyway. Fierce, intelligent, capable, and just sadistic enough to be Jack's equal. She slowly worms (threatens) her way into Jack's life, making it harder and harder to freeze her out. She has just enough light and warmth to brighten his darkness and thaw his frozen heart just enough to let her in. All it takes is a deranged ex-FBI agent to almost take Kyrie away from Jack for him to realize how much he truly loves her.

This book was absolutely perfect and had me struggling to put it down! The concept of serial killers falling in love is *chef's kiss*! This book was definitely dark but absolutely beautiful at the same time!

The story of Jack and Kyrie was beautiful written to the point that I was laughing and crying along with them! I loved the journey of self discovery that Kyrie goes on in this book and loved how Jack helped her along the journey. I felt that the character development for Kyrie was a little more in depth than that of Jack but that didn't really distract from the storyline.

This book has made me add all of Trisha Wolfe and Brynne Weaver's books to my "to be read" pile immediately!

I had read and reviewed Black Sheep by Brynne Weaver and had absolutely fallen in love with that story. Now, I am done reading Marrow by Trisha Wolfe and Brynne Weaver, and I have to say that this book was phenomenal
