So I started out liking this. It was interesting, it had a great take on the whole alien invasion (mostly because most of them do not involve other aliens saving earth). It had an interesting romance, genetically engineered beings. The author hit so many marks. But the time jumping. Wow. And there was no 2 years later heading to clarify. 2/3 of the way through its time jumped like there was no tomorrow. I mean it was insane. First, she was on the ship for 4 months then suddenly it's 2 years later....uhhh where did that time go? Then suddenly the war is over, despite it seeming impossible before, and everyone is back on the home planet. This jumped so many years I am shocked everyone is still alive at the end. I feel like I know where they wanted to go with this but they didn't hit the mark. It jumped too much in the last third of the book.

I didn’t love it but I didn’t hate it. It was a quick read that really lost momentum around 60% in. I love SciFI as much as the next person but some of the jargon left me feeling a little confused. It was like there should’ve been a prequel to this novel.

I didn’t love the Insta-Love between Doom and Victoria. I liked his personality and humor. Victoria felt kind of wooden except toward the end with her insecurities. It’s hard to connect with a heroine who supposedly embodies selflessness.

I am eager to revisit this world and read the next book. I hope it’s better than this one, more fleshed, more world building, more chemistry between the love interests, etc.

Saw some good recommendations for this and honestly just couldn’t get into it. The story jumps around wayyy to much and just hard to follow.

I've been wanting to start this series for a LONG TIME.

Earth has been invaded by giant insects that are using humans as a food source for their larvae. Then the SECOND round of aliens show up...the peacekeepers. That's where Doom comes in. He rescues Victoria from a literal fate worse than death...being paralyzed while larvae feed on your body. And that's when he realizes that she is his mate.

I really blasted through this book. It was so good. The middle dragged a little when events had them apart for a bit, but it was necessary to the story. It's such a rich and interesting concept. I can't wait to keep reading.

A great introduction into this new series by Regine Abel. I’m honestly so excited to see where this goes and all the cool alien creatures that show up. Love the end of book artwork too. It’s so great to see how Abel’s vision differs from my imagination 😂😂

Después de leerme la saga de la agencia primaria he seguido con esta en la que hay más sexo con aliens, me encanta la forma en la que la autora mete romántica en esta cifi soft.
