My crazy-ass 8th grade religion teacher forced us to read this on the basis of it was a “Christian story” and that ruined the story for me. Whoop whoop for catholic school trauma
It was so fun to reread these books. I listened to them on audiobook this time. I believe the company was Harper Audio. Each book had a different reader, but they were all excellent! ( feel inspired to learn to read with different voices!)
As far as the stories, these are probably one of the reasons I have always loved fantasy. Compelling stories, beautiful world creation, and I love how all the stories connect together. I picked up on some more of the Christian analogies this time through. Of course, it is obvious in the some of the books, but I enjoyed some of the things I hadn't realized before in books like The Horse and His Boy and Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Here is the order I like them starting with my favorite.
1. The Silver Chair
2. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
3. The Last Battle
4. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
5. The Magician's Nephew
6. The Horse and his Boy
7. Prince Caspian

I liked some of the books but others were boring. The last book in the series irritated me.
