This was such an amazing read. It was the funniest paranormal romance I've read yet. In fact, it's probably the funniest romance I've ever read. I found myself laughing out loud numerous times as I read the book. The heroine, Aisling Grey, was silly in many instances. But instead of getting cross with her, as I would have been normally, I found her endearing. That was all down to the brilliance of Ms MacAlister's prose.

I can't believe I had left this book languishing on my shelf for such a long time. Suffice to say, I picked this up at a point in time when I was burned out from reading paranormal romances. I had completely forgotten about it until a recent cold left me bored in bed. Well one reason to be grateful that I did have that stinking cold after all!

Well done, Katie MacAlister! I'll definitely be reading more of your books.

This was a fun read. Heroine was clueless but in an endearing way. Her sidekick might be the best part of this book. Would read another when the mood strikes.

So much love for this fun book. Just the sort of fluff and wit that makes me smile.

Charming!!!

Do you like dragons? How about dragons with hoards? Snarky female main characters? Complicated plot lines infused with humor and heat? Here’s your book.

Reasonably enjoyable and a quick read. I think that this book I picked up out of a whim and I'm pretty happy that I did. It was a light-hearted fantasy read with some enemies to lovers vibe that hasn't quite convalescent into the lovers bit... Which I do. Quite like. We've got dragons. We've got witches. We've got magical beings. And on top of that we have it set in Paris with a healer and a fun taxi driver. I really quite liked the romp this book told and how the heroine of the book was down to fix the mystery of the murders without having a clue how to do it. If you like dragon romance, murder, mysteries and fancy magic land set in Paris, this book is for you. If you're looking for a thought provoking mindful book, this is not what you're looking for. It is fun! It has some funny interludes with some demons. And you know about as much as the world as the heroine so you learn as you go.

Oh boy did this book suck or what! I most definitely will not continue with the series. The heroine (Aisling)is a complete and utter idiot. If this was real life, she'd would have been tossed in jail at the beginning of the book for contaminating a crime scene and that would have been that. The plot is totally unbelievable and the romantic interest with Drake, if you can call it romantic, is really just about sex. She didn't even play hard to get for even 5 minutes!

Jim, the demon dog, is the only redeeming character in this book. Too bad the author didn't make him the hero and forget the bimbo.

What a piece of crap. I've read a lot of paranormal romances but I've never ever read anything nearly as trite and condescending as this book. I do not recommend this to anyone who is reading for something more rewarding then descriptive sex.

The only reason I read this book is for a challenge. Otherwise I would have stopped reading it at about 20%. I think I would have liked this book more if I knew some French. The main character of this book is also from Seattle. I had no clue that so many books mentioned Seattle. It was really obvious who the murderer was for the longest time. No clue how Aisling didn't figure it out.
