I haven't read this book in a long while, but I do remember the setting being eerily similar to my town.
A great peek into the spiritual world that exists right besides the natural. The description of the demons is quite graphic and I wouldn’t recommend reading before bed.

Compelling story of the reality of supernatural warfare.
Loved it! This book definitely hit close to home for me. Anyone with a religious background needs to read this, whether you have heard of deliverance or not.

Absolutely changed my worldview on the spiritual realm…
Man, this is such an eye opener to what’s going on in the spiritual world. The thing I got out of it most was the power of prayer. What a privilege that God lets us partake in the happenings of this and the spiritual world. But we need to pray. PRAY PRAY PRAY! That’s what my thoughts are at the moment. So in the words of Hank: “Let’s pray.”
On the literary side of things, Peretti has a very distinct writing style. It’s entertaining, fast paced, and even though there are many characters it doesn’t get confusing because they all have distinct characteristics. This book keeps you on your toes. It’s interesting and thrilling. You want to know what happens next. Very very good.
Also I cried quite a few times. Mostly because of conviction to pray or because I was in awe of how God can work and does work.
