LOVED THIS
i think i spent 75% of this book with an ache in my chest
not huge on the level of self-deprecation going on while i do appreciate it’s kind of the point
dropped .75* cos there were about 5 different Events going on in the last ~50 pages, all of which I would’ve been happy to see a little more fleshed out
otherwise it’s kinda the perfect fun easy romcom

This was so intensely readable and exactly what I needed.
At first I found it irritating and like the way the author was trying too hard, but once settled into it I just didn’t want to put it down. It was the perfect romcom and just what I needed.

Really abrupt ending. Luc was kind of annoying at first, but grew into himself. I think that was the point of his character though? The best part of the book was the narrator. Phenomenal job with all the accents. There were one or two times where I truly thought it was a different person narrating dialogue.

Immaculate, complicated, and heartfelt.

This book is one of my favorites. The characters were both complex and messed up, but they're still good for each other in a way that says this is what healing looks like.
