I really liked the analogy of the ants on a skirt hem that is used in this book. I read it a while ago and I always remember this book when I am asked the shortest distance between two points. It's a wrinkle!

Almost like a children's version of Lewis' Out of the Silent Planet, this was a fascinating story addressing love, courage, wisdom, and acknowledging how little of the universe we know.
