Awesome, Awesome book. Very readable. Even if it is for like 11 year olds, it doesn't feel childish. Although I do wish it was a little heftier.

favorite from childhood, reading other reviews and it says may be boring for adults. that makes sense but i’ll have to reread it to confirm.

From the opening, the characters’ outbursts in the book and the narrative style came off as old-fashioned (reasonably, considering when it was written). The story moved along quickly, but there was more religion than I would’ve wanted and I wasn’t moved by the ending. Perhaps it would’ve been more novel for love to save the day if I had grown up in the 60s and not read dozens of other stories beforehand that touted the same message. The only character, I think, who will be especially memorable, is Aunt Beast.

Somehow, I managed to miss this wonderful book in school. The story of Meg Murray's search for her father through the galaxy, accompanied by her baby brother Charles Wallace and their friend Calvin, is simply enchanting.

Reading this book reminded me so much of [b: The Chronicles of Narnia|11127|The Chronicles of Narnia (Chronicles of Narnia, #1-7)|C.S. Lewis|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1449868701s/11127.jpg|781271]. A large part of the story relied on the innocence and youth of the protagonists, and the need for their faith and grace to defeat an evil and most terrible thing. While I was a little disappointed with fairly quick ending/resolution to the book, I look forward to reading the next in the series and someday sharing it with my daughter.

I loved this book, I haven’t read such a fast and comforting read in so long! I always wanted to know what was going to happen next! I saw it at the thrift store and it was 100% an impulse buy! I was scared to read it as the movie was not very memorable for me at all but I was pleasantly surprised!
