This one didn't capture me as much as the others, but I liked all of the subplots and where this is leading to. I think that the addiction had to be dealt with, so that is a nice point. If I had the option, though, this would be a 3.5 star book.

Honestly just in it for the romance which was okay in this. Somehow this book focused or rather introduced many other couples at the same time so it was a bit here and there for me. I honestly dont really care about the overarching plot right now and im just interested to get john and xhex’s story. From the reviews, it seems the next book gets better?

Rating: 5/5 stars

H rating: 4.5/5 - Phury. Oy that bedroom scene sucked...Addiction is tough though so I can only guess what that was like for you. I am so happy you made the decision to work through the detox and want better.

h rating: 4.5/5 - Cormia, You ran away..yes it was a tough situation, and wanted him to make the correct move, but maybe speaking about what it was that you wanted instead of just wishing for it could've saved you all that time wasted.

Drama: 5/5 - This series is always full of drama. If you're 6 books in than you already know it.

Thoughts: Where to start...
Phury & Cormia- this relationship was hard..but I am happy that they went through the hardships so that they can find some happiness.
John & Xhex- My goodness do these two give me life! I just want them to get together already!
Qhuinn & Blay- Oh my this couple are going to hurt me..I just know it..
Everything with Lash though! Ugh I hate him..he's always been a slimy weasel..now we know why.
I hope everything works out with Tohr..his story is really just too tragic. I am curious about the angel.
I am finally back onto this series and am super anxious to start Father Mine now.

Can we re-write this. Phury's story is a total joke in this book. It's really the subplot of the story. This book is a mess. However the "subplots" which really is the main story is good. Poor Phury, his story got short changed.

My least favorite Black Dagger Book so far. I was more interested in the side plots than in Phury's story. There was nothing to like about Phury in this book and I didn't really find any redeeming qualities to improve my impressions of him. Not bad, but not the best in my opinion.

this is my new comfort series

This one fell flat for me. Phury didn't grow on me like the other characters have throughout the series. Even with all of his issues, I expected more. The Wizard was a total annoyance... I was just ready for him to shut it! As with the previous book in the series there were a lot of subplots, and in this instance, they turned out to be of more interest than the main characters.
